Red Bull-Christian Horner: how much longer will this F1 partnership last?. Christian Horner wrote important pages in the history of Formula 1 with his Red Bull.

Christian Horner, Red Bull team boss 2024

From dream to reality: since his debut in 2005, Christian Horner has managed to write important pages in the history of Formula 1 with his Red Bull. After the first successful years (2010-2013), the team went through difficult times, facing noticeable performance declines. But the Austrian team and its English boss never stopped working hard to bring Red Bull back to the top. This led to the 2021 season, when the Austrian team not only won the Constructors’ Championship but also the Drivers’ Championship with Max Verstappen, a fate that continued until 2023. The previous season, however, saw a Red Bull struggling, with evident problems that, despite small improvements, were not enough to win the Constructors’ Championship, which was claimed by McLaren.

Last season not only saw a car in trouble but also a lot of internal chaos within the Austrian team: from rumors (later deemed false) about Christian Horner, to clashes with Jos Verstappen, followed by Adrian Newey‘s departure, Christian Horner’s right-hand man. With the loss of the English engineer, Christian Horner remains the only pillar of Red Bull, and his partnership with the team seems set to last for a long time, as he confirmed to RacingNews365: “Yes. I have a commitment with Red Bull until the end of the decade. My commitment remains absolute,” he declared.

Regarding what happened to him at the beginning of the 2024 Formula 1season, the Briton continued: “You always learn in life, you always apply the lessons. The day you think you know everything, or you stop learning, is the day you’re going backwards. It’s the same in life, it’s the same with the car, it’s the same with everything: you always learn, always apply the lessons you’ve learned to try to do things better in the future. In this industry, you need to have thick skin and focus only on your beliefs and commitments. We have an extraordinary workforce, incredible loyalty within it, and a passion for what people do. Without that passion, you wouldn’t get the results we’ve achieved.” – the Red Bull team principal concluded.
