The MCL39 #81 selected by FIA
As usual at the end of each Grand Prix, one or more cars are randomly selected by the FIA for more detailed technical checks that go beyond standard post-race inspections, which normally focus on floor wear and minimum weight compliance.
After the checkered flag in Mexico, the FIA randomly selected McLaren car #81, driven by Oscar Piastri, who finished fifth after a strong recovery behind Oliver Bearman’s Haas. The FIA delegates focused specifically on the sensors and wiring of both the front and rear suspensions.
