After the Formula 1 race in China, Nico Hülkenberg spoke about the incidents that affected his performance during the Grand Prix which was held at the 5.451-kilometre Shanghai International Circuit. The German recounted that the race started off difficult right away, with oversteer at Turn 3 putting him in trouble. “I almost completely lost the car,” Nico Hülkenberg said in an interview for RTL.

“Because of this, we suffered several damages to the underbody and, in some parts, also to the front wing during the race. For this reason, the car was no longer in perfect aerodynamic condition,” the driver explained at the end of the Chinese Grand Prix.

Unfortunately, these damages further compromised his race performance. Nico Hülkenberg crossed the finish line in 18th position, ahead only of Yuki Tsunoda, who had to stop again due to a broken wing.
