New Red Bull sponsor for 2025 F1 season: a $150 million gap filled. Red Bull has secured a new sponsor for the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The Milton Keynes team is gearing up for the new Formula 1 season. Nothing has leaked from the English factory—no images, no statements, no indications about the new project. Red Bull is keeping things under wraps and is ready to hit the track more determined than ever. A few hours ago, the team announced its new sponsor, which will feature on Christian Horner’s cars in 2025.

Red Bull has undoubtedly been the team that suffered the most from the 2024 season and is heading into the new one in similarly tough conditions. A year that many thought would see them remain unbeatable after their 2023 dominance quickly turned into a nightmare, with the team starting to fall apart.

It all began at the start of the year with the Christian Horner scandal. As a result, the team split into two clear factions—those who wanted the Englishman out, including Verstappen’s father, and those willing to turn a blind eye to avoid losing one of Red Bull’s key figures.

Just when things seemed to calm down, another blow hit: Adrian Newey left Milton Keynes. One of the most renowned engineers in Formula 1 history, who contributed to the success of Williams and McLaren, will be moving to Aston Martin. Not long after, things got even worse when Jonathan Wheatley, the team’s sporting director, also departed.

As if that weren’t enough, the car’s performance collapsed. Max Verstappen had to wait 11 races after the Spanish GP before returning to the top step of the podium. And then there was Sergio Pérez—18 Grands Prix, zero top-five finishes. All of this led to several sponsors walking away.

Among them was Bybit, whose contract ended in late 2024. According to reports, the three-year deal between the two parties was worth well over $150 million. To fill this gap, Red Bull has now signed a new partnership with cryptocurrency company Gate.io. The brand will be featured on the car and on all driver apparel.

Christian Horner quickly commented on the deal: “We look forward to building a more engaging and unique connection with the team for fans around the world and working with a like-minded partner that is not afraid to disrupt the status quo.”

Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate.io, also responded: “At Gate.io, we believe that innovation and performance go hand in hand. Just as Oracle Red Bull Racing pushes the limits of engineering, we are constantly developing blockchain technology to bring greater transparency, speed, and efficiency to digital finance. This partnership comes at a time when blockchain is expanding beyond finance, and we are excited to explore new ways to intersect with global industries like motorsport.”
