There is growing anticipation around the Mercedes W17, with the Brackley-based team set to release the first official images of its 2026 Formula 1 car later today. The new single-seater is also expected to hit the track at Silverstone for a filming day, ahead of the opening test session scheduled to take place in Barcelona starting next Monday.
As excitement builds around the debut of the W17, Mercedes have already given fans an early glimpse of the 2026 season by publishing images of the new race suits that will be worn by George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
The 2026 race suits, produced by Adidas, feature a predominantly black design and showcase a major new sponsor. Standing out prominently is Microsoft, which has signed a significant sponsorship agreement with Mercedes reportedly worth around 60 million dollars per year.
The unveiling of the new race suits adds to the sense of anticipation surrounding Mercedes’ preparations for the 2026 Formula 1 season, as the team looks to begin a new era with a fresh driver line-up and a completely new car designed for the upcoming regulations.
