Mercedes is looking ahead to the new season and a new era following Lewis Hamilton’s departure, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli stepping in for the seven-time champion and new strategic partnerships to strengthen the team’s future at the highest level.
This morning, the team led by Toto Wolff announced a new multi-year partnership with Adidas, the sportswear giant.
Adidas will become the brand responsible for designing the style of the entire team, from the drivers to the mechanics and engineers.
In a press release published this morning, Mercedes stated that Adidas will create several limited-edition clothing lines—for the team and Mercedes fans—that will be showcased and worn during the 2025 season.
Toto Wolff, co-owner, CEO, and team principal of Mercedes, said: “Our collaboration with Adidas is a clear statement of intent to begin writing our next chapter as a team. Adidas is an iconic brand that shares our dedication not only to peak performance but also to style and sophistication.”
“This announcement represents an innovative partnership that will redefine the meaning of team and fanwear in our sport. We are excited to blaze this new trail and collaborate with Adidas as we collectively strive to fight for world championships.”
Bjorn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, added: “We are thrilled to return to the world of motorsport. Interest in motorsports in general, and Formula 1 in particular, has grown significantly. It’s reaching new audiences and has a major influence on sports and street culture. We are extremely proud to introduce the Three Stripes to F1 as the Official Team Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, one of the most successful teams of all time.”
“Together, we share a passion for speed, innovation, and performance. We will support the drivers and the team to push the limits on the track. Off the track, we will bring a fresh perspective to the sport, introducing exciting lifestyle products and expanding its reach to a new generation of fans. We look forward to supporting Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 and winning together.”
