McLaren has completed the fourth event of its Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) program with the MCL60, continuing its extensive development and driver preparation activities throughout the season.
Test and Development driver Will Stevens was behind the wheel at the Monza circuit, completing 28 laps during the latest session. His mileage was added to the 36 laps previously completed by Leonardo Fornaroli, further contributing to the team’s ongoing testing efforts.
The TPC program consists of a series of test sessions held throughout the year, designed to provide development drivers with valuable experience in a Formula 1 car while also generating useful data for the Woking-based team.
Following the conclusion of the Monza test, McLaren Test and Development driver Will Stevens reflected positively on the day’s work.
“It was a good final day of testing today at Monza with the TPC Team. I made the most of the test plan that had been assigned to me. We tried a number of different setups, all of which provided useful reference points for me.
“Driving a Formula 1 car is always a great opportunity, so thanks to the team for putting me back behind the wheel of the MCL60.”
McLaren’s TPC program remains an important part of the team’s development structure, allowing reserve and development drivers to gain valuable track time while helping engineers gather additional information that can support future projects.
