Starting in February, Alessandro Alunni Bravi will embark on a new chapter in his professional career with McLaren. In an official statement, the team outlined his role as “Chief Business Affairs Officer,” emphasizing that he will report directly to Zak Brown. This newly created position within the team’s organizational structure will see Alunni Bravi take a leading role in managing various activities for McLaren Racing.
“Alessandro will be engaged in legal matters, the driver development program, commercial aspects, driver contract management, and relations with the commercial rights holders and governing bodies,” the team’s statement read.
The Italian will take charge of the Driver Development program, previously managed by Stephanie Carlin, who will now take on additional responsibilities within the Formula 1 program while continuing to report to Andrea Stella.
“McLaren is a team I’ve always been a huge fan of,” commented Alunni Bravi, “and naturally, it’s an emotional experience to think that I will have the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary group of people. I’m grateful to be joining an organization with values and a culture that are clearly evident even from the outside.”
“I want to repay Zak and the board’s trust by dedicating all my effort and commitment to contributing to the team’s success. I believe teamwork is the key to everything. I’m thrilled to join a team that I consider a benchmark in F1 both on and off the track, and I can’t wait to get started.”
“I’m delighted to welcome Alessandro to McLaren,” said Zak Brown. “He is someone with extensive experience and a strong motorsport background. In addition to managing our legal functions and driver development, he will provide invaluable support in business management and handling our main drivers. We look forward to welcoming him to the McLaren Racing family on February 1.”
