Liam Lawson reacts to possible future Red Bull seat: “I do a good job…”. Liam Lawson on a possible Formula 1 seat with Red Bull.

The United States Grand Prix weekend at the 5.513-kilometre Circuit of The Americas in Austin will not only mark the return of Formula 1 after a three-week break, but it will also be the site of Liam Lawson’s second debut in the top series. He has been chosen by Christian Horner and Helmut Marko to drive for Racing Bulls, once again replacing Daniel Ricciardo, as happened last season.

This choice, as the New Zealander himself stated during the F1 Nation podcast, will also help the Red Bull leadership decide who will partner with Max Verstappen in 2025: “The expectation is that my performances will at least match Yuki’s (Tsunoda). Additionally, the team is fighting for sixth place in the Constructors’ standings, so the goal is to score points.”

Already thinking about Milton Keynes?
“My goal is to go to Red Bull in the future,” Liam Lawson admitted bluntly. “I’m certainly aware that being in the satellite team, if I do a good job… They are obviously looking ahead to the team’s future to be ready in case Max and Checo (Perez) leave.” – he pointed out.

The New Zealand racing driver also confirmed what Helmut Marko previously stated about the possibility of a promotion at the end of the current season, noting that Liam Lawson has yet to sign a contract for 2025: “It’s not something I’m thinking about, because I know it will depend on how I perform with my current team.” – he concluded.
