The upcoming season will mark the start of the Aston Martin-Honda partnership. This new venture represents a major opportunity for the British team to elevate both expectations and performance. However, achieving this requires patience and time, essential elements for building a truly successful project.
The words of Lawrence Stroll
Lawrence Stroll has urged caution regarding expectations for 2026, acknowledging that the regulatory changes combined with the new power unit will be significant steps for the team: “We are looking forward to next year, with a massive change to the regulations. It will be another big step forward; we have Honda as our power unit partner, and we will be a works team for the first time ever. It will be a completely different experience.”
“It’s a new power unit that we will have next year. Hopefully Honda will have the necessary time to develop it,” Lawrence Stroll explained. This patience does not, however, diminish Aston Martin’s ambitions. The Canadian team owner is clear about his vision: “Expectations are very high. Now we need to give everyone some time to come together and work to adapt these exciting new rules and regulations arriving next year to meet our very high expectations, the highest possible.”
Fans will have to wait until the start of the 2026 season to see Aston Martin’s role in the championship—whether they will be among the frontrunners or the ones left behind.
