Lando Norris replies to Helmut Marko amid McLaren dominance: “People love talking bullsh*t”. Lando Norris responded harshly to those who claim McLaren is as dominant as Red Bull.

Lando Norris replies to Helmut Marko
“McLaren is dominating like we did in 2023”: this is how Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko described the current power balance in Formula 1. Regardless of how much he actually believes this statement, it’s clear that the Austrian’s intention is to put pressure on the Woking team, which has started 2025 with two wins in as many races and has shown to have the best car on the grid.

Marko’s words were unlikely to please championship leader Lando Norris, who didn’t name the Austrian directly but from Suzuka harshly criticized all pundits who “hound” McLaren and the media that echo their opinions.

Lando Norris’ words
“I think all these stories, like the one that we’re unbeatable, are just nonsense. I think sometimes people just love to talk bullsht,” Lando Norris said in his initial outburst. “It’s the media’s job not to just write whatever people say. You have to try to understand what’s being said and prove that those statements are based on facts, instead of repeating a bunch of bullsht and printing it.”

According to Lando Norris, McLaren is by no means as dominant as Red Bull—neither the 2023 version nor even the one from early 2024: “If you go back a year, they were much further ahead than we are today. The car Red Bull had around this time last year was much better than what we have now in comparison to our rivals.” – the British driver concluded ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend.
