Lando Norris celebrated his first Formula 1 World Championship on Sunday: the 26-year-old Brit finished third in the Abu Dhabi GP, enough to hold off a furious Max Verstappen, whose late-season comeback fell just two points short of the McLaren driver. At Yas Marina, Lando Norris enjoyed the moment with those closest to him: his parents Adam and Cisca, his closest friends, and his girlfriend Margarida Corceiro. The passionate kiss between the two after the Emirati Grand Prix went viral worldwide and officially confirmed a relationship that had been widely speculated on for a couple of years, despite some ups and downs (“I don’t have time for a dog, let alone a girlfriend,” Lando Norris had said in August last year).

Lando and ‘Magui’ had been photographed together before, but this was the first time the couple openly shared affection in public in front of cameras. The 23-year-old Portuguese model broke into tears on the track while hugging and kissing Lando Norris—who had just stepped out of his car and removed his helmet—in what was the most beautiful moment of his career so far.
Margarida Corceiro explained to Tv Guia why she and Lando chose to make their relationship public only now, with such a dramatic kiss in Abu Dhabi: “There are no rules for making it public. I thought it made sense… I’m very happy, he’s very happy, and that’s what matters,” the young Portuguese model said, assuring that she had completely given herself to her boyfriend without thinking about everything around them. “In that moment, I forgot the cameras were there. It was such an important moment that I didn’t even notice.”
A two-year relationship comes into the spotlight
Lando Norris and Margarida Corceiro have been dating for about two years, a story with highs and lows, periods of privacy, and occasional denials. The first rumors date back to May 2023, when they were spotted together for the first time in Monaco, in a car. Lando Norris had recently broken up with his ex, Dutch model Luisinha Oliveira, while Margarida Corceiro had ended her four-year relationship with Portuguese footballer Joao Felix, which ended badly (he accused her of cheating with a Premier League player).
Now, with a world championship in the bag and a kiss watched by millions, the couple have stepped firmly into the spotlight together. One title, one perfect moment, and one very public happy ending.
