Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli has been selected by Sky to become one of the faces of the broadcaster’s new advertising campaign, with the television network set to launch the commercials at the end of August.
Kimi Antonelli is one of the most sought-after personalities in motorsport right now. The young Italian driver, who currently leads the Formula 1 World Championship after winning five Grands Prix this season, will become Sky’s new ambassador as part of the broadcaster’s upcoming communication campaign, which will debut in late August.
The 19-year-old from Emilia-Romagna will appear in the new commercials alongside Alessandro Del Piero. During the presentation of Sky’s programming schedule for the upcoming season, the broadcaster unveiled a teaser video showing Kimi as the newest resident of the now-famous apartment building where the former Juventus football legend is already very much at home.
The popularity of the young Mercedes star continues to rise at an impressive pace, thanks to a natural charisma that perfectly complements the talent of a driver currently leading the Formula 1 standings with a 25-point advantage over his teammate, George Russell.
Earlier this season, Kimi Antonelli had already been chosen as the face of the new cancer prevention campaign promoted by Fondazione ANT Franco Pannuti ETS. Now, with his growing success both on and off the track, another high-profile role has been added to his rapidly expanding public profile.
