The first image of Mercedes’ 2025 F1 shirt has surfaced, featuring Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s debut. With the departure of sponsor Tommy Hilfiger, the iconic Adidas stripes now appear on the shoulders. This multi-million-dollar deal makes the German brand the official clothing partner of the Brackley-based team. The image may also hint at the color scheme of the new car.
Mercedes is entering its Adidas era. Previously, the Silver Arrows’ apparel was produced by Puma, with a distinctive touch from Tommy Hilfiger’s signature style. With Lewis Hamilton now in Ferrari red, Mercedes is undergoing a major rebranding. The American designer’s red, white, and blue accents are gone, replaced by Adidas’ signature stripes.
This kit marks a significant shift in Mercedes’ style, and the team is taking an even greater interest in the personal wardrobes of its drivers. In recent months, the German squad was reportedly seeking a specialist to manage George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s attire. In a sport driven by high-value sponsorships, such attention to detail is unsurprising.
Adidas and Mercedes: Partners from 2025
Toto Wolff, speaking at the launch of the partnership, emphasized the significance of this change: “This agreement marks the beginning of a new era for Mercedes. Adidas is a brand that shares our dedication and pursuit of excellence. We look forward to working together to fight for world championships.”
The upcoming season will be challenging, with the title fight potentially taking shape in the early races. If the car is not competitive with the front-runners, resources may soon shift toward the 2026 project. However, Mercedes has made its stance clear: they have no intention of conceding without a fight.
