Haas marks 200th F1 start with throwback livery in Canada – photos and video. Haas celebrates its 200th Formula 1 Grand Prix at the 2025 Canadian GP.

Haas’ 200 races: a historic milestone for the American team in Canada, which unveils a special livery for the occasion. Active in Formula 1 since 2016, when it debuted in the Circus with the driver pairing of Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, Gene Haas’ team has become a consistent presence in the midfield. With the departure of Gunther Steiner ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season, a new chapter began.

When Haas first appeared on the grid, at a time when Formula 1 was experiencing significant difficulties, betting on the team’s long-term presence in the sport might have seemed risky. However, the American outfit immediately showed fighting spirit, particularly with Romain Grosjean, who secured sixth and fifth places in the first two races of the 2016 season. From the start, Haas demonstrated resilience and, in its early days, genuine competitiveness.

The fifth place in the 2018 Constructors’ Championship remains the best result ever achieved by the team under Gunther Steiner’s leadership. The setbacks that followed in subsequent years do not diminish what has been, overall, a positive journey. In 2025, the American team is undergoing a renewal, with the arrival of two new full-time drivers, Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman, and a team principal, Ayao Komatsu, increasingly comfortable in his new role.

In its tenth season in the premier category, Haas will also celebrate its 200th Grand Prix in Montreal. To mark the occasion, the team will revisit its original livery, reintroducing the design and colors from its debut – a well-received nod to the past. Although the team’s trophy cabinet remains essentially empty – having never reached the podium despite coming close in 2018 – the goal remains to return to fighting in the upper midfield.

A classic livery, reborn 👌🤩
