Haas heads to F1 Brazil GP with clear objectives: “We aim for strong results”. Haas aims for valuable points at the Brazilian GP.

Oliver Bearman, 2025 F1

Haas is ready to return to the track: at Interlagos, the Sprint Race offers a valuable opportunity to score points. After a strong double haul in Mexico, Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon approach the weekend with high expectations. Below are the statements from the Haas duo and their team principal, Ayao Komatsu.

The words of Ayao Komatsu

“We are excited to arrive in São Paulo after an excellent race in Mexico: everyone is highly motivated and enthusiastic. The championship is so tight that from sixth to ninth place, there is virtually no difference. Only four races remain, but we are focused on one race at a time. Brazil is, of course, a Sprint event, so there are many opportunities. The circuit is fantastic—it’s a driver’s track, technical and very challenging not only for the drivers but also for the cars.”

“With Ollie having jumped into the car last season with only five hours’ notice, we know he will perform well, and with Esteban having secured a podium—against us—in 2024, we know he is also very strong at this circuit. The most important factor for me this weekend will be the weather conditions. You never know what to expect in São Paulo. Obviously, we are very eager to make up for last year, to be ready, and to give our maximum. I truly believe we have the right cars and drivers to achieve strong results here,” Komatsu concluded.

The words of the Haas drivers

Ollie Bearman, enthusiastic and aiming for points after a brilliant fourth-place finish, said: “I can’t wait to return to Brazil; it’s an incredible circuit. It’s a very short lap but incredibly technical. Last year was a challenging race for me, but we had a great Friday entering SQ3, and I hope we can build on the momentum we’ve created in the last few races.”

Esteban Ocon shared similar feelings: “I’m looking forward to going back to Brazil, a country very close to my heart. I’m fortunate to have a lot of support there, and I also have many fond memories from the races I’ve competed in that country. Of course, personally, last year’s podium was a very special moment in my career. Interlagos is a classic circuit with a very smooth flow, which makes it always enjoyable to drive. The Brazilian fans are extremely passionate and knowledgeable, and it’s always a pleasure to race in front of them. Being a Sprint event, we’ll aim to maximize every session to prepare as best as possible for both races and, hopefully, maintain our momentum throughout the weekend.”
