FIA targets McLaren for post-race Inspection in Japan: no irregularities detected. McLaren of Lando Norris Passes FIA Technical Checks in Suzuka.

What the stewards checked
As always after a Grand Prix, the FIA randomly selects a car for more in-depth technical inspections. After the race in Suzuka, the draw picked car #4, the McLaren of Lando Norris, who finished the race in second place behind winner Max Verstappen.

The focus of the FIA delegates and stewards was on the software used to record all the data uploaded in real-time to the FIA standard ECU. All the elements inspected were found to be in compliance with the 2025 Formula 1 Technical Regulations.

After the Chinese GP, the Ferrari SF-25 cars were selected, and in that case, the material used during pit stops was inspected. There too, everything was found to be in compliance with the rules — the SF-25s had already passed the routine preliminary checks on weight and floor wear.
