Details have emerged of the reported financial terms behind Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll’s new Aston Martin contracts, with the Spaniard understood to be receiving a significant pay rise for 2027. Alonso is reportedly set to earn €38 million next season, while Stroll’s agreement is believed to be worth €30 million across 2027 and 2028.

Fernando Alonso reportedly receives €8m Aston Martin pay rise
Marc Limacher of Business Book GP, who specialises in the financial side of Formula 1, has published what are believed to be the approximate figures involved in the two drivers’ contracts.
According to those figures, Fernando Alonso has received an €8 million increase compared with his 2026 salary and is expected to earn €38 million in 2027.
The Spaniard’s contract also reportedly includes an option for the 2028 season, which Fernando Alonso will be able to activate by July.
The figures underline Aston Martin’s continued financial commitment to the two-time Formula 1 world champion after confirming that he will remain with the Silverstone team for another season.
Lance Stroll reportedly set to earn €30m over two seasons
Lance Stroll’s new agreement is also understood to involve a substantial financial commitment. The Canadian driver is reportedly set to earn €15 million in 2027 and another €15 million in 2028.
That would bring the total value of Lance Stroll’s reported salary across the two seasons to €30 million.
With both drivers now confirmed, Aston Martin has chosen continuity in its driver line-up, while the reported contract figures suggest Fernando Alonso will remain one of the team’s major investments heading into the 2027 Formula 1 season.
