The Spaniard was particularly sharp towards Liam Lawson at the end of the Austin Sprint, as Lawson has permanently replaced Daniel Ricciardo at Racing Bulls starting this weekend.

The incident
The two nearly collided at the braking zone of turn 12 – after the long straight – during an overtaking attempt by Fernando Alonso. Liam Lawson suddenly shut the door at the last moment, creating a dangerous situation that led the Spaniard to angrily complain over the radio: “Guys, the AlphaTauri driver (the team’s old name, ed.) is a real idiot.”
