Red Bull might bridge the worlds of F1 and football via a joint sponsorship with Inter. Let’s explore the details of this agreement and why the Austrian team needs new partnerships.
One of the reasons Red Bull retained Sergio Perez for so long was economic. The number 11 driver ensured a link between the Austrian team and the Mexican market, bringing in sponsors and significant financial resources.
With Sergio Perez’s departure from Red Bull and, for now, from F1, many sponsors have ended their collaboration with the team led by Christian Horner. The team, which dominated until 2023, has seen its performance decline recently, compounded by sponsor instability. As a result, the team is now compelled to expand its horizons to attract new companies to fill the gaps left by Perez’s exit.
One of these companies is Gate.io, a cryptocurrency firm that also partners with Inter, displaying its logo on the sleeve of the football club’s jerseys. Gate.io would replace the collaboration with the Singaporean cryptocurrency company Bybit, which began supporting Red Bull in 2022 but announced its split from the team in January 2025.
This won’t be the only new sponsor for Red Bull, as the Milton Keynes team has also secured deals with Avatrade, Neat, and EA Sports.
Will Red Bull succeed in securing all the necessary sponsors to fully replace the substantial benefits Sergio Perez brought? We’ll keep you updated on any developments.
