F1 | Build your own Aston Martin AMR25 with the new Meccano 1:8 model. Meccano unveils the Aston Martin AMR25 Formula 1 car to build in 1:8 scale.

Aston Martin, 2025 F1 car

The world of scale modelling and collecting is about to welcome a brand-new addition. In August 2026, the AMR25 driven by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will arrive as a 1:8 scale model to be built using the iconic metal components, with faithful lines and several functional features including steering, engine and DRS.

Any day is a good day to enjoy building something, and at Aston Martin they clearly did not stop at Lego bricks. In August 2026, the Meccano model is set to make its debut.

Thanks to a brand-new agreement reached with Addo Play, the AMR25 will be reproduced in 1:8 scale using the famous metal construction system under the name “Meccano Pro x Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Car”.

All the parts, as always assembled with screws and bolts, faithfully replicate the single-seater raced in the Formula 1 World Championship by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll last season. The model features bodywork that closely mirrors the real car, complete with the black-and-green livery and the main sponsor logos of the British marque.

But that is not all. The model will also include some of the most appealing functions, such as working steering, engine, suspension and DRS, all fully operational to make the experience even more engaging for every motorsport, modelling and construction enthusiast, whether young or old.

“Engineering excellence is at the heart of everything we do at Aston Martin, and our licensing agreement with Meccano allows us to translate the complexity of our race car into a tangible experience for fans, celebrating both innovation and craftsmanship in a unique and engaging way. We are also proud to be the first F1 team to collaborate with Meccano on a licensed product,” said Matt Chapman, Head of Licensing and Merchandising at Aston Martin F1.

Dave Martin and Mary Price, co-founders of Addo Play, added: “This collaboration represents an important step in the evolution of Meccano under Addo Play. It has been fantastic working with Aston Martin, and the strong collaboration and close relationship are at the heart of this agreement, demonstrating our commitment to delivering high-quality products for fans and marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for licensed products within the Meccano range.”
