Dan Fallows will no longer serve as Aston Martin’s technical director, the team have officially confirmed earlier today.
Dan Fallows steps back
After hiring three heavyweights—Enrico Cardile, Andy Cowell, and especially Adrian Newey—the team led by Lawrence Stroll has decided to trim the technical staff for the coming season, awaiting two of these three figures to complete their respective gardening periods and become active in 2025.
Dan Fallows will remain involved with the Aston Martin project but with different duties than those he held over the last three years.
“It has been a joy and a privilege to lead the technical team on its journey towards racing and championship success,” commented Dan Fallows – “The time has come to pass the baton, but I look forward to seeing the future successes of the team, which I am sure will come soon.” – he said.
“I would like to thank Dan for his contributions to Aston Martin Aramco over the past two years,” commented Andy Cowell. “Dan led the team to the success of the AMR23, which secured eight podiums last season.”
Having entered Formula 1 in 2002 with Jaguar as a senior aerodynamicist, the British engineer was a mainstay at Red Bull from 2006 to 2021, significantly contributing to the rise of the Milton Keynes team and working alongside Adrian Newey in designing some of the most successful cars in the history of Formula 1.
Aston Martin has not yet disclosed what new role Dan Fallows will hold in the near future.
