F1 looks to 2025
The 2025 season promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years. This is thanks to a 2024 campaign that saw record-breaking competition at the top: never before had a championship seen four teams capable of securing a quartet of victories or seven different winners across at least two GPs.
This is also due to the convergence dynamic that typically appears at the end of a regulatory cycle: “fortunately,” we still have another year of absolute balance, where teams will need to carefully balance their efforts for 2025 and their investments for 2026, the year of the next major revolution, both aerodynamically and technically.
Christian Horner’s words
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes that for these reasons, the next season will be among the most spectacular ever: “This year we had seven different winners. This increases the interest in our sport. The interest in this year’s championship has been very high, and I believe this will continue into 2025, as it’s the last year of these regulations. The cars will converge further, and there will be four teams very close to each other. Everything will be decided on marginal gains.”
“Ideas are converging, cars are converging,” he continued. “In 2023, we won 22 out of 23 races, and it was impossible to replicate that situation. This year we won nine races, three more than any other team. We took eight pole positions and won four Sprints, more than any other team. Of course, we only finished third in the Constructors’ Championship, which is why we decided to change things a bit for 2025.” – the Red Bull team boss concluded.
