Carlos Sainz optimistic as Williams targets strong performance in F1 Las Vegas GP. Carlos Sainz is optimistic ahead of the 2025 Las Vegas GP.

Carlos Sainz, Williams 2025 F1 car

Carlos Sainz is heading into the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix with high hopes for a strong performance from his Williams team. The Spanish driver, who finished third with Ferrari at last year’s Las Vegas GP and later took a podium with Williams in Baku this season, is aiming to continue his impressive streak with another top result on the streets of Nevada.

Carlos Sainz looks forward to racing under the lights

Carlos Sainz expressed his excitement ahead of the weekend: “I can’t wait for the Las Vegas GP. We’ve learned a lot about the car, and on paper, we should have good pace on this track. I’m eager to see how we perform. This weekend will be all about managing the tires, so we’ll do our best to ensure a clean and efficient execution. Racing on the famous Strip is a unique experience, and I look forward to competing under the lights and giving our fans hope to cheer for something important.”

Alex Albon aims to end points drought

Alexander Albon, meanwhile, is hoping to turn around a five-race streak without scoring points. The Thai-British driver has been focusing on simulator work and detailed engineering debriefs to prepare the car and address recent issues. He highlighted the challenges of the Las Vegas track: “Las Vegas should suit us with its long straights and high-speed sections, but the cooler temperatures and track conditions will demand that we extract the maximum performance from the car right from the first practice sessions.”

Williams looks to capitalize on unique street circuit

The team’s combination of past success and recent technical improvements gives both drivers confidence heading into the Nevada weekend. With Sainz and Albon pushing to adapt to the circuit’s unique characteristics, including tight corners and the demands of racing under artificial lighting, Williams will aim to make the most of its setup and tire strategy to challenge for strong points and possibly another podium finish.

As the Las Vegas GP approaches, all eyes will be on Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon to see if they can translate their preparation into tangible results and secure a standout performance on one of F1’s most spectacular tracks.
