F1 | Cadillac will unveil its 2026 livery on February 8 during the Super Bowl
Cadillac will showcase the livery of its 2026 Formula 1 cars through a special TV commercial that will air during the NFL Super Bowl, which this year features the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 2025 Formula 1 World Championship has not yet concluded, but several teams have already announced when they will reveal their new cars for the upcoming season or the liveries that will dress them. The build-up to 2026 is beginning far earlier than usual.
Among those teams is Cadillac. The eleventh outfit set to enter Formula 1 starting from January 1 has announced earlier today that it will unveil the colors of its very first F1 car on Sunday, February 8.
The date is anything but random. The American manufacturer will reveal its new livery via a television advertisement broadcast during the 2026 Super Bowl, the NFL’s flagship event in which the two contenders for the season’s American football title will go head-to-head.
The final, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, is expected to be watched by around 127 million viewers, making it the most-watched event in the history of American television.
For Cadillac, this represents an extraordinarily prestigious — even if temporary — stage, and one that comes with a hefty price tag. The company will invest around eight million dollars, which is the cost of purchasing a commercial slot during the most popular sporting event in the United States.
Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac F1, commented on the decision by saying: “The Super Bowl is one of the rare moments in American culture in which sports, entertainment and storytelling come together, and it gives us the opportunity to introduce the Cadillac Formula 1 Team on a stage that reflects who we are.”
He added: “We are proud of our American heritage and we want to present ourselves in a bold, innovative and distinctly Cadillac way. This is just the beginning, but it is a moment I am incredibly proud of.”
For next season, Cadillac will rely on two highly experienced drivers with deep knowledge of the Formula 1 paddock: Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas. Both arrive after a year without racing, having been left without seats by Red Bull Racing and Sauber respectively at the end of 2024. However, they will have the chance to start almost on equal footing with the rest of the grid thanks to the introduction of the new technical regulations, which will push teams to design cars significantly different from those seen between 2022 and today.
