Ahead of Formula 1’s summer break, the rookie believes the team’s development work is now translating into performance, consistency and valuable momentum.
For Arvid Lindblad, the optimism does not come from one isolated result. Racing Bulls has shown steady improvement, the car is responding more effectively and every weekend is adding another piece to a team identity that is finally taking shape. Having both drivers finish in the points was therefore more than a statistical achievement: it demonstrated that the team’s work is producing tangible results in an unforgiving midfield battle.

Racing Bulls ended the final Grand Prix before the summer break with both cars inside the top 10. The result, reflected in the complete 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix classification, moved the team into fifth place in the Constructors’ standings.
“It’s a great result for the team to come away with another double points finish and move up to P5 in the Constructors’ Championship,” Arvid Lindblad said.
His assessment captured the significance of the moment. Racing Bulls has established a clearer technical direction, while the development of its car is producing concrete improvements rather than merely theoretical gains.
“It’s great to see all that hard work being rewarded,” Arvid Lindblad added, acknowledging that the team’s progress and recent results are part of a long and complex development process.
A demanding midfield fight with Audi
The race was far from straightforward. The midfield remains so closely contested that even a small error can cost several positions, forcing drivers to remain composed and manage risk throughout every phase of a Grand Prix.
“It was mentally and physically demanding, and we had a tough battle with Audi,” Arvid Lindblad explained.
The Hungarian Grand Prix required the Racing Bulls rookie to remain focused during a fight that evolved from corner to corner. Despite securing another point for the team, however, Arvid Lindblad recognised that one part of his own performance could have been better.
“I wasn’t able to maximise the start as well as I would have liked.”
Rather than searching for excuses, Arvid Lindblad identified the start as an area for improvement. It was the type of detail that can transform the outcome of a closely fought race, and he intends to carry the lesson into the second half of his rookie Formula 1 season.
Racing Bulls carry momentum into the summer break
Arvid Lindblad’s overall assessment of his first half-season in Formula 1 remained firmly positive. Racing Bulls has developed a stronger technical identity, established a productive development rhythm and demonstrated greater resilience in the midfield.
“Overall, it’s been a really positive first half of the year,” Arvid Lindblad said. “We head into the summer break with great momentum.”
The break represents an opportunity to recover rather than a pause in the team’s ambitions. Racing Bulls has reached this stage of the season with a clearer direction, an improving car and a structure capable of converting its work into points, having also shown its growing competitiveness during the wider Hungarian Grand Prix battle.
“I’m looking forward to coming back refreshed and building on what we’ve achieved so far.”
There was no grand promise behind Arvid Lindblad’s closing message, only a determination to turn every race into another opportunity to improve.
