Tradition as a strength
The presentation of the Aston Martin AMR25 at the London F1 75 show was one of the most highly anticipated by the British public, and it likely did not disappoint, thanks also to the spectacle leading up to the unveiling of the car. A display of lights and videos celebrated the legend of James Bond while also highlighting the tradition and history of the British manufacturer. The classic green remains on the car this year, with only a slight variation at the roll-bar area, where white has been added for the new Saudi sponsor Ma’aden.
First presentation as Team Principal
While the livery features few changes, the team itself is doing everything possible to climb the ranks in F1 and fight for the world championship. A clear example of this is the recruitment of Adrian Newey, who will primarily focus on the 2026 project, and the appointment of Andy Cowell as the new Team Principal and CEO. Commenting on the new car, Cowell stated: “We are delighted to launch the livery of our AMR25 during F1 75 Live—it’s a unique way to engage fans, partners, and colleagues, making my first launch as CEO and Team Principal even more special. Our 2025 livery looks fantastic and continues to showcase the team’s heritage. I can’t wait to see our drivers take to the track with the AMR25 for the first time at the end of the month.”
His statement highlights Aston Martin’s strong connection with its fans, a sentiment echoed by Jefferson Slack, the team’s Commercial Director: “Building on Aston Martin’s rich heritage, we are thrilled to have unveiled our livery in front of a sold-out crowd at the O2 Arena tonight. We draw inspiration from Aston Martin’s DNA and are obsessed with being the best. Tonight’s show highlights our passion and relentless pursuit of progress, both on and off the track, and our impact on popular culture. It’s a unique way to launch our season and underscore Aston Martin Aramco’s journey. Fans play a fundamental role in this journey as a team, so having the opportunity to celebrate the start of Formula One’s 75th year in front of them and a global audience watching from home is fantastic and something we have never done before.”
