Alpine leaves Miami empty-handed: Pierre Gasly 13th, Jack Doohan retires on Lap 1. Alpine leaves Miami without points.

A tough weekend for Alpine at the Miami International Autodrome in Florida
Penalties in the Sprint allowed Alpine and Pierre Gasly to grab a point in Miami, but in the Grand Prix, the lack of rain eliminated a key variable, and the French driver fought back from the pit lane to finish 13th. Jack Doohan, on the other hand, was involved in a first-lap incident with Liam Lawson. Below are their statements.

Pierre Gasly: “Overall, it was a difficult weekend for us. At least we leave Miami with a point from the Sprint Race, which was somewhat unexpected. We knew the race would be tough after we had a couple of issues with the car. It was a little better, but in the end we lacked pace. We were hoping for rain during the race to give us a chance to fight, but it never came. We need to analyze our performance here because in previous races we’ve been quicker, and here it was more complicated. We have work to do before the next race in Imola.”

Jack Doohan: “The damage was too severe to safely bring the car back to the pits, and in the end we had to retire. I was caught in the middle of too many cars at the start, and eventually made contact with Lawson. Now we shift our focus to the upcoming races. This coming week will give us a chance to reset and work towards preparing for the next triple-header as the European season begins.”
