
The McLaren team gathered at the McLaren Technology Centre to celebrate their historic achievement: securing the second consecutive Constructors’ Championship. With the next race in Austin, Texas just over a week away, the team is taking a well-deserved pause to enjoy this milestone, which was clinched mathematically at the Singapore Grand Prix.

The use of the term ‘historic’ is deliberate. McLaren has now reached double digits in team titles, a feat only surpassed by Ferrari. Even more impressively, the championship was secured with six races to spare, matching the record set by Red Bull in 2023. The celebration at Woking brought together key figures from the team, each reflecting on the remarkable achievement.
CEO Zak Brown emphasized the remarkable turnaround McLaren has made after years of challenges. Zak Brown highlighted that the team’s “Papaya era,” which officially began in 2018 and gained momentum in 2023, has seen unprecedented success. He celebrated the team’s accomplishments: 18 pole positions, 19 race wins, 67 podiums, nine 1-2 finishes, and two consecutive Constructors’ Championships. He credited this success to the team’s culture, unity, and the support of fans and partners, expressing excitement for the journey ahead.
Looking to the future
Team principal Andrea Stella also addressed the challenges that lie ahead. He pointed to the 2026 regulation changes as the team’s next major test, comparing it to climbing Mount Everest. Andrea Stella emphasized the importance of teamwork and dedication, promising that McLaren will continue working hard to maintain their position at the top of Formula 1 and extend their success into the future.
The celebration at Woking was not only a recognition of McLaren’s current achievements but also a statement of ambition, as the team prepares for new technical challenges and continues its journey to remain at the pinnacle of Formula 1.
