The goal is to join forces in talent development and the sharing of technical expertise. This agreement will provide young Japanese engineers, mechanics, and drivers from TGR with the opportunity to gain experience in Formula 1, tackling technical challenges at the highest level.
Young drivers, engineers, and mechanics from TGR will participate in driving tests, data analysis, and aerodynamic development alongside Haas. This experience will provide crucial skills to improve both motorsport performance and the development of high-quality production cars.
The agreement reflects TGR’s commitment to “driver-first carmaking,” a philosophy promoted by Toyota’s president, Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo. According to this vision, cars are developed and improved based on direct feedback from professional drivers. The collaboration with Haas will strengthen the data pipeline and apply insights learned to vehicle production.
In particular, TGR’s technical staff will be involved in the aerodynamic development of Haas cars, gaining experience in designing and manufacturing carbon fiber components in extreme operational environments. This exchange of skills will accelerate the creation of ever-better cars, directly shaped by the challenges of motorsport. The collaboration will proceed with the approval of Ferrari, Haas’s current power unit supplier.
Both parties intend to continue supporting the development of motorsport and the automotive industry, training human resources ready to face the future of the sector.
The agreement is part of TGR’s broader strategy to expand its global presence and influence, contributing to the improvement of production car technology through its experience in Formula 1.
