Red Bull has welcomed the FIA International Court of Appeal decision that restored Isack Hadjar to third place in the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix after Pierre Gasly’s two five-second penalties were reinstated. The Milton Keynes team thanked the FIA and described the outcome as the correct one for sporting fairness and the integrity of Formula 1.
Reactions continue to emerge after the latest dramatic twist in the Monaco Grand Prix classification. Pierre Gasly had initially finished third on the road before two five-second penalties for pit-lane speeding dropped the Alpine driver to seventh. Those penalties were later removed following Alpine’s successful Right of Review, only for Red Bull and McLaren to appeal that decision to the FIA International Court of Appeal.

The International Court of Appeal upheld the appeals lodged by Red Bull and McLaren and reinstated Pierre Gasly’s two five-second penalties. As a result, the Frenchman has once again fallen from third to seventh in the official race classification, while Isack Hadjar has been restored to the final step of the podium.
The revised result also affects the Formula 1 championship standings, with the points from Monaco now reflecting the International Court of Appeal’s decision.
For Red Bull, the ruling means Isack Hadjar’s strong performance in Monaco once again counts as his first podium finish with the team.

Red Bull issued an official statement after the verdict, thanking the FIA and arguing that the decision supported both sporting fairness and the integrity of competition.

The decision has sparked strong reactions elsewhere in the paddock, particularly from Flavio Briatore and Pierre Gasly, who were angered by the latest change to the Monaco result.
Monaco dispute may not be completely over
The International Court of Appeal ruling has formally restored the penalties and changed the classification once again, but the wider controversy surrounding the case may continue.
Alpine has already indicated that it intends to examine whether any further avenues remain available following the verdict. For now, however, Isack Hadjar is officially back in third place in Monaco, while Pierre Gasly is classified seventh.
Whether the dispute produces further developments in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
