Red Bull secures Max Verstappen for 2026, Toto Wolff expected to renew efforts in coming years. Max Verstappen will continue driving for Red Bull Racing in the 2026 Formula 1 season.

It has been officially confirmed that Max Verstappen, the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, will remain with Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season. This year will be especially significant in Formula 1, as it marks the start of a major regulatory revolution involving new car designs and next-generation power units. This announcement finally puts to rest the rumors and speculation that have circulated in recent weeks regarding the future of the Dutch driver.

Ralf Schumacher, former Formula 1 driver and analyst for Sky Deutschland, commented on Verstappen’s decision while analyzing the competitive context of the sport: “The 2026 season will definitely be exciting with the introduction of new cars and whoever manages to design the best car will have a strong advantage. This will naturally lead once again to all kinds of speculation, including about Max Verstappen.”

According to the German ex-driver, it will be inevitable that the top Formula 1 teams will try to convince Max Verstappen to change teams even beyond 2026: “Toto Wolff will not give up in the following years,” he added, referring to the possibility that Mercedes, under the leadership of team principal Toto Wolff, will remain in the background, waiting for the right opportunity to try to alter the world championship balance in their favor.
