Racing Bulls will be the heart of the Wings for Life World Run on May 10
The Racing Bulls Formula 1 headquarters will become the central hub of the Wings for Life World Run, a global charity event dedicated to funding scientific research aimed at finding a cure for spinal cord injuries. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to visit the team’s museum, which houses historic Formula 1 cars that have shaped the team’s racing legacy in Grand Prix competition.
This time we are talking about racing, but not Formula 1 Grands Prix. Racing Bulls will in fact play a key role in a very special initiative, as Formula 1 will have its engines switched off on May 10. It is therefore particularly significant that the Red Bull Group team will open its doors to a world-class event. The Faenza-based team headquarters will be transformed into a base for the Wings for Life World Run.
The Wings for Life World Run is a unique global running event open to both runners and wheelchair participants, organised by the Wings for Life Foundation. One hundred percent of entry fees and donations will go directly toward scientific research dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries.
Since the first edition in 2014, the Wings for Life World Run has involved more than 1.8 million participants worldwide, raising over 60 million euros entirely dedicated to research. From the beaches of Rio de Janeiro to the Arctic Circle, the 2025 edition alone saw 310,719 participants across the globe and raised 8.6 million euros for the cause.
Among the Italian host locations for this edition is Faenza. The Visa Cash App RB team is proud to host the local App Run, offering participants the chance to run surrounded by the unique atmosphere of Formula 1. The 6 km course will loop around the Racing Bulls headquarters, and each athlete will be able to repeat the circuit as many times as they wish, as there is no fixed finish line. Instead, a Catcher Car will determine the end of each participant’s run.
The race will start simultaneously at 13:00 across all global locations, while the Catcher Car will begin its pursuit at 13:30, moving at a speed of 14 km/h. Each participant will also use a dedicated app, and once they are caught by the virtual Catcher Car, they will be able to see the exact distance they have covered.
A major highlight of the event, organised by the team led by Alan Permane, is that all participants will also have access to the Racing Bulls museum, where historic Formula 1 cars that defined the team’s journey are displayed.
The meeting point will be the Racing Bulls factory located on Via della Boaria in Faenza. At the end of the event, an after party will take place, offering all participants a final celebration to close the experience in a memorable atmosphere.
Participation is simple: fans and runners only need to purchase an official ticket and download the Wings for Life World Run app on their smartphone. From that moment, they become part of the Faenza community, all running toward a single global goal: finding a cure for spinal cord injuries.
