Racing Bulls say goodbye to Orlen: Polish sponsor to invest in young drivers. It’s a year of significant changes in F1 sponsorship for Racing Bulls.

Yuki Tsunoda, 2024 RB

Big changes are underway in F1: another major sponsor is leaving Italy after six years. A few weeks ago, Ferrari lost several of its key sponsors. While awaiting the arrival of Lewis Hamilton, which could shake things up, Bell, Riva, Palantir, Santander, Harman Automotive, and Philip Morris disappeared from the Scuderia’s official website.

The world of Formula 1 is in constant evolution. The 2025 season will be a pivotal step toward the revolution coming the following year. Some teams will treat it as a “transitional year” to fine-tune their tools for the next major global challenge. Others, those who find themselves closer to the championship dream, will face a tough decision.

Push hard until the end of the season or stop and focus on 2026? Much will depend on the championship standings. According to Toto Wolff, it’s unlikely we’ll see new updates to the cars after the summer. Meanwhile, teams are also changing sponsors: Red Bull, Ferrari, and Racing Bulls included. Yesterday, it was announced that Faenza would lose Orlen.

Orlen’s Journey in F1
The Polish oil company Orlen entered Formula 1 in 2019 as the main sponsor of Robert Kubica at Williams. It then moved to Alfa Romeo, where it stayed for two seasons, before joining Faenza. However, with the start of the 2025 championship, Orlen’s objectives have shifted, and its colors will leave the grid.

Investments in motorsport, however, will not cease. Orlen has stated that while it is ending sponsorship activities tied to specific teams, it will redirect its budget toward supporting the next generation of young drivers. It remains to be seen which sponsor will take its place on the two Racing Bulls.
