Mercedes unveils special blue W17 livery for 2026 United States GP in Austin

George Russell, Mercedes W17, 2026 F1

Mercedes has unveiled a special blue-accented W17 livery for the 2026 United States Grand Prix, with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli set to race the revised design at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin. The distinctive colour scheme celebrates the manufacturer’s Manufaktur personalisation programme and gives the Silver Arrows a different appearance for the Texas race weekend.

Although Mercedes has previously introduced special liveries for the Malaysian Grand Prix to honour its long-standing relationship with Petronas, the decision to modify the W17’s appearance for the United States Grand Prix represents a new initiative. The team will retain its familiar identity while incorporating blue accents across both cars.

Mercedes reveals special blue W17 livery for Austin

The two Mercedes W17 cars driven by George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will feature blue detailing inspired by Manufaktur, the manufacturer’s vehicle personalisation programme. The initiative allows customers to customise their Mercedes vehicles with a range of individual options, making it an important part of the brand’s presence in the American market.

According to Mercedes, one in every two customers purchasing a vehicle from the brand in the United States selects at least one optional feature from the Manufaktur programme. The special Formula 1 livery is therefore intended to highlight the popularity of personalised Mercedes vehicles among American buyers.

The blue elements provide a noticeable contrast with the W17’s usual silver, black and green colour scheme, creating a fresh visual identity for the Austin weekend without completely replacing the team’s traditional design.

The special design will make its appearance during the 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend at the Circuit of The Americas, where Mercedes will continue its championship campaign with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.

For the Brackley team, the Manufaktur-themed appearance adds another element of interest to an important race weekend in the American market. Both drivers will compete in the blue-accented W17 cars as Mercedes showcases its personalisation programme on one of Formula 1’s most prominent international stages.
