McLaren targets another win in Saudi Arabia: “Speed and confidence on our side”. McLaren is again favoured for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Three wins in the first four Grands Prix, seven podiums out of a possible eight, and the top two spots in the Drivers’ standings: McLaren’s 2025 season has started in brilliant fashion, and the papaya team fully intends to keep the momentum going in Saudi Arabia. The race in Jeddah, scheduled for Sunday, will conclude an intriguing triple-header of Grands Prix that has confirmed the MCL39 as the top force on the grid. So, the goal for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri can only be to aim for the top prize.

“I’m excited to return to Jeddah for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend,” said the championship leader, who had an up-and-down weekend in Bahrain. “It’s a very fast track and we have a fast car, so we’ll aim to finish this triple-header on a high. I’m proud of how we’ve started the season. We celebrated our successes, but also came together as a team for a debrief and to take away lessons for the next race. I feel good and I can’t wait to go racing again this weekend.” – the British driver explained.

His McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri shares the same view. He’s the man of the moment, with two GP wins in the last three races: “I’m very pleased with the victory and the way we achieved it in Bahrain,” said the Australian. “So I’m heading into this weekend with a lot of confidence. I really like the Jeddah track and I already have good memories here. I’m determined to start strong in Saudi.” – the Australian driver concluded ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
