McLaren is celebrating its ten Constructors’ Championships in Formula 1 with a special, limited-edition version of its acclaimed plug-in hybrid Artura Spider. The McLaren Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition features exclusive design details both inside and along the bodywork, paying tribute to the brand’s rich history and to current McLaren F1 stars Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Off the track, however, the McLaren Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition commemorates the ten Constructors’ titles McLaren has secured in the Formula 1 World Championship. This exclusive car is limited to just ten units and incorporates bespoke design elements and a dedicated livery to honor the team’s 2025 F1 car. It embodies a perfect blend of elegance and performance while paying homage to McLaren’s championship triumphs in 1974 (with drivers Emerson Fittipaldi and Denny Hulme), 1984 (Niki Lauda and Alain Prost), 1985 (Lauda replaced by John Watson at Brands Hatch), 1988 and 1989 (Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna), 1990 and 1991 (Gerhard Berger alongside Ayrton Senna), 1998 (David Coulthard and Mika Häkkinen), and most recently 2024 and 2025 (Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri).
Hybrid heart and powertrain
The Artura Spider first debuted in 2024, coinciding with McLaren’s renewed success in the Formula 1 World Championship. This high-performance plug-in hybrid supercar is McLaren’s first open-top hybrid. The Championship Edition retains the Artura’s hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined 700 hp and 720 Nm of torque. This is achieved through a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired with an Axial Flux electric motor. The car features rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
Exclusive livery and bespoke details
The Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition stands out thanks to numerous aesthetic and bespoke details both inside and out. The hand-painted livery combines the Myan Orange MSO Bespoke hue with Onyx Black, mirroring the 2025 Formula 1 car’s color scheme. The exterior is enhanced with the Black Pack, Dynamo forged superlight ten-spoke alloy wheels in gloss black, McLaren Myan Orange brake calipers, black McLaren badges, the Stealth Badge package, and a Stealth Exhaust sports system. The number ten, represented both numerically and as stars, appears prominently on the sides and on the headrests, while the steering wheel indicator at 12 o’clock is finished in Myan Orange.
Each car also includes a personalised plaque on the centre console, emphasizing the exclusivity of its specification. The Track Record in the luggage compartment lists McLaren’s victories, poles, and fastest laps from the 2025 F1 season. The interior blends Alcantara Performance Carbon Black and Jet Black Nappa leather with McLaren Vision Orange accents. The satin carbon-fibre door sills are hand-signed by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, McLaren’s Formula 1 drivers.
