The words of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri In the morning session in Sakhir, it was Oscar Piastri’s turn to hit the track with the MCL39. The Australian driver, partly due to the challenging weather conditions, completed 44 laps.
“It wasn’t the easiest day due to the weather conditions we found on track. However, we managed to complete quite a few laps, and I can’t wait to get back on track tomorrow afternoon. Overall, it was a positive session,” said Oscar Piastri.
Lando Norris took over in the afternoon, focusing mainly on the race simulation, showing a more than competitive pace. “A lot of laps and a lot of different sensations. I had the chance to run with different tires, and I think the data collected will be very useful. The feeling is good, but we need to finish this three-day test in the best possible way,” said Lando Norris.
