Max Verstappen has once again demonstrated his unrelenting competitive spirit, performing a daring overtake that left his partner, Kelly Piquet, completely amazed. It is no secret that Formula 1 drivers find it hard to stay away from racing, even while on vacation, and Max Verstappen recently confirmed this yet again with a memorable incident during his downtime.
A curious episode on holiday
Just days before returning to the track, the four-time Formula 1 world champion took some time to relax in the company of friends, including Formula E driver Antonio Felix da Costa. It was da Costa who shared the video on his Instagram profile, which quickly went viral across social media.
The footage shows Max Verstappen behind the wheel of a golf cart, executing an audacious overtake on another vehicle, even driving partially onto the grass. Meanwhile, his partner Kelly Piquet can be heard shouting in amazement at her boyfriend’s fearless maneuver. “This guy is crazy,” commented some of the other friends present, astonished by the Red Bull driver’s competitiveness even during moments of leisure.
With just about a week remaining until the next race, Max Verstappen is set to return to the circuit, where he can once again focus on what he does best. The Formula 1 calendar will see a special return to the Dutch Grand Prix, a race that promises to be particularly significant for the Red Bull star.
