In an interview with ViaPlay, Max Verstappen confirmed that he has a great relationship with the German, despite their ten-year age difference: “I have a lot of respect for him, both as a driver of course, but also as a person. On the track, he is reserved and calm, but when you get to know him personally, you find out he’s not like that at all. I can speak Dutch with him, I watched him race in karts when I was a kid, obviously, he was a bit older, I saw him in Formula 1, and eventually, I caught up with him. He’s really a good guy, and we’ve already spent many good moments together.” – the four-time Formula 1 world champion concluded.
