The Formula 1 British Grand Prix weekend is approaching, and the atmosphere inside the Racing Bulls team garage is reminiscent of the period between the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix. During that time, Liam Lawson arrived in Barcelona fueled by motivation after securing his first points finish of the season, just as he did in the most recent race in Austria.
Liam Lawson’s Momentum
New Zealand driver Liam Lawson will bring not only the confidence from his recent strong performance in Spielberg but also some prior experience at the historic Silverstone circuit, although he has never raced there as an official Formula 1 driver. “The Silverstone weekend features an iconic track where many of us grew up competing in different racing categories,” commented the former Red Bull junior driver. “It is one of the circuits best suited to Formula 1, and I was fortunate enough to test an F1 car there. Racing here for the first time this weekend is very exciting, and the atmosphere at Silverstone is incredible, thanks to the large number of fans who come to the race. Having lived nearby for a few years, I am really looking forward to racing on a technical and high-speed track after a strong weekend in Austria.”
Isack Hadjar at Silverstone for a Comeback
The Racing Bulls team, which has introduced a special livery for this Grand Prix, is not only focused on continuing Liam Lawson’s points-scoring momentum but also on the return to the top 10 for French rookie Isack Hadjar. Hadjar has not found much success in the last two races, but the Faenza-based team’s newcomer is now determined to climb back up the standings and reduce the gap to Nico Hülkenberg and Esteban Ocon. “After the frustrating race finish in Austria last week, when we were close to scoring points, we have completely reset and are ready to tackle the historic Silverstone circuit,” said Isack Hadjar. “It is one of those traditional circuits, with a layout that emphasizes maximizing downforce and car efficiency, something I believe we have done very well so far. I expect another strong performance from our car, and the goal is obviously to keep fighting for points.”
