Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson’s journey home has attracted plenty of attention on social media. The Racing Bulls team-mates, fresh from an intense Belgian Grand Prix in which only the British driver managed to remain inside the points, left Spa on an easyJet flight.
Liam Lawson confirmed their unusual travel arrangements through an Instagram Story, sharing a photograph alongside Arvid Lindblad and writing: “Shoutout easyJet!” Several Racing Bulls staff members from the team’s Faenza base were also travelling with the two drivers, making their presence a particularly fortunate surprise for the other passengers on board.
One final opportunity before the summer break
Racing Bulls and its drivers will have only a couple of hours to rest before returning to action in Hungary for the final Formula 1 round before the summer break. Their objective is clear: to head into the holiday period with another positive result at a time when the Constructors’ Championship battle with Alpine is more intense than ever.
Racing Bulls and Alpine are currently level on points, increasing the importance of the Hungarian Grand Prix as both teams attempt to establish an advantage before Formula 1 pauses for the summer.
