A passion for two wheels
Lando Norris decided to spend his free weekend away from Formula 1 by heading to the track, even with no Grand Prix scheduled between the Italian GP and the upcoming race in Azerbaijan on September 21. The McLaren driver, currently second in the F1 World Championship standings behind his teammate Oscar Piastri, is spending the weekend at Misano for the San Marino MotoGP, invited by Alpinestars, a brand he has represented as one of its leading athletes since 2017.
With Jorge Martin and on Ducati bikes
The British driver has never hidden his passion for motorcycles and his admiration for Valentino Rossi – to whom he has even dedicated special helmet designs in the past. This free weekend gave him the perfect opportunity to enjoy the MotoGP paddock atmosphere. On Friday evening, Norris arrived at the circuit alongside his friend Jorge Martin, who took him for a ride on his scooter around the paddock, creating plenty of laughter among those who saw them.
Today, the McLaren number 4 visited the VR46 and Ducati garages, where he had the chance to climb onto the Ducati GP24 and GP25 machines. Norris also exchanged a few words with Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, and reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia, who all welcomed him into their respective garages. It was a fun and energizing break for Norris before turning his focus back to the intense Formula 1 title battle that awaits him on four wheels.
