Arriving as the Formula 1 championship leader, Lando Norris is backed by a strong-performing McLaren. The Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka will be a tough test for the MCL39, though the car appears to have no major weaknesses. Given the significance of this race, Lando Norris chose to mark the occasion with a custom R32 LW and a special helmet.
He made his entrance at the Japanese Grand Prix media day in style, driving a personalized Nissan Skyline R32 tuned by Liberty Walk. The car, a product of a collaboration between his brand Quadrant and the renowned Japanese tuner, pays tribute to Japan’s automotive culture. Featuring widened fenders, an aggressive splitter, and a massive rear wing in ‘80s Super Silhouette style, the R32 blends tradition with modern performance.
The customization extends to the interior, embracing extreme JDM culture in true Liberty Walk fashion. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, stitched in white and red, is inscribed with “Liberty Walk,” “Tokyo Custom,” and “Japanese Style,” along with a small embroidered Japanese flag, emphasizing the national pride behind the project. The dashboard remains faithful to the original ‘90s design, featuring analog dials, while a bold red finish matches the racing seats.
The seats are fully red bucket-style with enhanced lateral support, designed for track use. There are no luxury trims or comforts—the stripped-down dashboard exposes part of the chassis and wiring, resembling drift or show cars.

Special Helmet for Lando Norris at the Japanese GP
In addition to his Liberty Walk Nissan Skyline R32, Lando Norris also unveiled a new helmet design. This, too, is the result of a collaboration between Liberty Walk and Quadrant, featuring several unique elements.
The design is a tribute to Japanese culture and urban-JDM aesthetics. The shell displays a black-and-white mix with graphic elements depicting city skylines, stylized waves, and manga-inspired visuals, including a red-highlighted eye design on the lower left side.
Prominently displayed are the logos of Quadrant, Liberty Walk, Monster Energy, and a sticker with the Japanese phrase [名を残す] (na o nokosu), meaning “leave your name in history.”
