The records of the 19-year-old
It is now widely known that Andrea Kimi Antonelli is enjoying a golden moment as he prepares for the Miami Grand Prix. In the opening three races of this season, the 19-year-old Mercedes driver has secured three podium finishes and, most notably, two consecutive victories — the first wins of his Formula 1 career — which have propelled him to the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings.
The Bologna-born talent has, in a remarkably short space of time, become not only the youngest driver in history to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix, but also the youngest ever to lead the world championship. To this already impressive list of achievements, another personal milestone has recently been added — this time away from the racetrack.
A luxury trading card
His recent success has significantly boosted both his public profile and the value of his official merchandise, as demonstrated by what took place last Saturday evening. During an auction organized by Topps, the well-known American trading card company, a signed card featuring the young driver — along with a piece of race-worn clothing from the 2025 season — was sold for an astonishing $201,910.
And yet…
While this sale represents a personal record for the Italian driver, it still ranks only seventh among the most expensive Formula 1 trading cards ever sold. The all-time record continues to belong to Lewis Hamilton, whose signed card from 2020 was sold four years later for more than one million dollars, highlighting the extraordinary commercial appeal of the seven-time world champion.
The massive price tag on Kimi Antonelli’s trading card reflects the unprecedented hype surrounding the young Italian’s 2026 title charge. While his on-track records are already rewriting the history books, the commercial market is signaling that Kimi Antonelli isn’t just a fast driver—he’s a global brand in the making.
