Kimi Antonelli’s busy schedule shows no signs of slowing down. Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, where Formula 1 will stage the fifth round of the season, the championship leader paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the San Marino National Olympic Committee.
The young Italian driver, who has become a resident citizen of San Marino, was welcomed by committee president Christian Forcellini during the visit, adding another public appearance to what has already been an intense period for the Mercedes star.
Kimi Antonelli’s hectic days before the Canadian Grand Prix
These have been exceptionally busy days for Kimi Antonelli. In recent days, he returned to Mercedes headquarters to prepare for the upcoming Montreal race and meet team personnel, who gave him a warm round of applause after the three victories he has delivered for the Silver Arrows in China, Japan and Miami.
Antonelli greeted team members and thanked them for their support in videos later shared across Mercedes’ official social media channels.
The Canadian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place over the weekend of May 22–24, where Antonelli will aim to extend his impressive early-season form.
Having won three of the first four races of the Formula 1 campaign, the Italian currently leads the drivers’ standings with 100 points, holding a 20-point advantage over Mercedes team-mate George Russell.
In conclusion, Kimi Antonelli’s high-profile visit to San Marino highlights his expanding global presence as he seamlessly balances off-track ambassadorial roles with the immense pressure of a Formula 1 title charge. With three wins already under his belt and the backing of both his team and community, the young Italian heads to Montreal with significant momentum to consolidate his lead at the top of the standings.
