Racing Bulls immediately lost a driver
Isack Hadjar was the best rookie yesterday, narrowly missing out on Q3, but he went from glory to disaster in the cruel way that only F1 can sometimes deliver. The Racing Bulls driver crashed into the wall after just a few meters during the formation lap of the Australian Grad Prix at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne.
Isack Hadjar lost control of the car at the first chicane, spinning and irreparably damaging the rear wing upon impact with the barriers. The start was delayed by 15 minutes, and the race has already lost one of its participants.
The rookie was visibly shaken by this shocking start to his F1 season and was comforted by Lewis Hamilton’s father, Anthony, who tried to console a devastated Isack Hadjar.
