It was a bitter Miami Grand Prix for Isack Hadjar, who leaves Florida with a strong sense of frustration after an early-race incident forced him into retirement. The French driver hit the wall on the approach to the tight chicane formed by Turns 14 and 15, causing damage to the front suspension and ending his race prematurely.
The impact broke the front suspension arm on his RB22, leaving him with no chance of continuing. The reaction from the number 6 driver was immediate and emotional, as Hadjar repeatedly struck the steering wheel in anger before climbing out of the car.
“I found the limit,” Isack Hadjar said after returning to the paddock. “Throughout the whole weekend I was very close to the limit and I managed to keep it under control, but today I made a mistake.”
When asked about his feelings following the crash, the Frenchman did not hold back his frustration.
“It’s tough. Just the fact that I broke the car makes me really angry, and then I think about the fact that there were easy points to score, considering the car I had. So I threw everything away,” he concluded.
Isack Hadjar will now have two weeks to reset and rebuild his confidence before heading to Montreal, where his objective will be to put together a clean and trouble-free weekend after a missed opportunity in Miami.
As Red Bull shifts its focus to Canada, the priority will be channeling this evident frustration into a more disciplined performance to maximize the RB22’s clear potential.
