French driver Isack Hadjar made his debut with Red Bull at the Abu Dhabi post-season tests, taking his first steps with the Milton Keynes team ahead of the 2026 season.
“It was amazing to complete my first laps as a Red Bull driver,” Isack Hadjar said. “It was particularly important to start getting to know the team members ahead of January. They welcomed me really well, and I already feel comfortable with this group. Of course, this car is completely different from what I will drive in Barcelona, but it was great to get familiar with the 2026 tires.”
Ben Waterhouse, Red Bull’s Head of Performance, added: “We had a really positive test day here in Abu Dhabi. Hadjar followed the 2026 Pirelli tire test program, while Ayumu Iwasa ran the RB21 equipped with the 2025 tires. Both drivers did an excellent job completing their programs without issues. It was extremely valuable to start working with Hadjar, giving us the chance to get to know him better ahead of next year. We will take the results from this test back to Milton Keynes and use them to refine our simulation tools ahead of Barcelona in just seven weeks.” – he pointed out after the Yas Marina testing session.
With pre-season testing kicking off in late January, Isack Hadjar’s first taste of the team and the new rubber is a crucial early step. The young Frenchman already looks right at home in the famous navy and red colours, and Red Bull will be hoping he can hit the ground running when the 2026 cars finally hit the track.
