Honda unveils 2026 F1 power unit for Aston Martin: live presentation details. F1 2026: Honda reveals Aston Martin power unit, date and live stream info.

Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin, 2025 F1

Honda and Aston Martin are gearing up for the 2026 Formula 1 season with the official presentation of their new power unit. With excitement building around one of the most anticipated partnerships ahead of the new regulatory era, fans are now waiting to discover when and how they can follow the live unveiling of the engine that will power Aston Martin in the future.

After the recent presentations from Red Bull and Racing Bulls, attention now turns to Honda, which is preparing to officially lift the curtain on the power unit it will supply to the Silverstone-based team from 2026. The event will mark a key milestone in the build-up to the next generation of Formula 1.

A new chapter after the Red Bull era

The partnership between Honda and Aston Martin comes after the Japanese manufacturer ended its long and successful collaboration with Red Bull. Honda supplied power units to the Milton Keynes team from 2019, gradually scaling back its involvement before definitively closing that chapter at the end of the 2025 season.

Now, Honda has committed to a new project alongside Lawrence Stroll, with the clear objective of replicating the success achieved with Red Bull: two Constructors’ World Championships and four Drivers’ titles. The ambition is to provide Aston Martin with a competitive power unit capable of fighting at the very top of Formula 1 in the new era.

Key dates and notable guests

The first Aston Martin designed under the technical leadership of Adrian Newey will not be revealed until February 9. However, the spotlight will already be on Honda on January 20, when the manufacturer presents the power unit it hopes will give Aston Martin a strong foundation under the new regulations.

The event will take place live from Tokyo and will feature several high-profile guests, including Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, Aston Martin chairman Lawrence Stroll and Honda Motor Company CEO Toshihiro Mibe.

Honda power unit presentation: how and where to watch live

The presentation is scheduled for January 20 at 13:00 local time in Japan. For viewers in Italy and much of Europe, the live broadcast will take place early in the morning, starting at 05:00 on the same day.

The event will be streamed live on Honda’s official YouTube channel, which fans can access directly to follow the unveiling in real time and get the first official look at the power unit that will define Aston Martin’s 2026 Formula 1 campaign.
